About
I’m Donya Fazelnia, born in Tehran, Iran, on July 23, 1995. Sculpting has been my artistic journey, and I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sculpture from the Art University of Tehran (2014-2019). Since 2019, I’ve proudly been a member of the Iranian Sculptors Association, contributing to the dynamic Iranian art scene.
My sculptures have traveled worldwide, making an impact at events like the HUMAN RIGHTS ART FESTIVAL in North Dakota (2023) and the NOXTE lll-KUNSTQUARTIERS BETHANIEN STUDIO 1 in Berlin,
Germany (2019). Notable galleries, such as SHIRIN GALLERY in Tehran
and AARAN PROJECTS, have showcased my work.

I work with diverse materials, from resin and ceramic to cement and bronze. My sculptures delve into profound philosophical reflections, challenging societal norms and exploring personal struggles. Pieces like “Fragile” and “Lack of Motivation” provoke thought on societal expectations, while “Instincts” delves into the intrinsic nature of mankind and the societal leash on one’s id.
Teaching and creating with clay are my passions, emphasizing the boundless potential of formless clay for creative expression. In 2022, I had the honor of being interviewed by landEscape art review magazine.
Looking ahead, I envision a future where art transcends limitations, allowing my creativity to speak across different mediums. For me, art is a free expression, unrestricted by conventional categories or mediums.
